Baby Madelyn
As you know, our little Madelyn is here! She’s now a week & a half old and I think we’re adjusting fairly well. We have had soo much help it’s been awesome. Avery had his first sleep over the night before Madelyn was born with his friend Jacob. And then the next day he hung out with Jacob all day. Then, Kyle’s parents came in town Friday night & watched Avery all weekend for us while we hung out at the hospital with Madelyn. Then, as Kyle’s parents were loading up their car to leave on Sunday, my parents pulled up & stayed for a week to help. And, last but not least, my wonderful friend Briana watched Avery here & there & was there when Madelyn was born. So all in all, we’ve been spoiled rotten! Thank you to everyone who has lended a helping hand, we really appreciate it!!
Now, onto miss Madelyn (or as her grandma calls her…Princess Madelyn). She has been an absolute joy for the past week & a half. Friday morning we headed to the hospital, and by 6:30 they gave me all the iv fluids & medicine’s, etc. and by 7:00 they broke my water, and Madelyn was born at 10:48a.m. Woohooo…quick labor! Our first reaction was, look at that hair!! (You’ll see in the pictures below.) She has got quite a set of lungs on her because she just screamed & screamed. After they cleaned her up & we got to snuggle her, they sent her off to the nursery for some formula to get her blood sugar levels up. Apparently since I hadn’t eaten much since dinner the night before her blood sugar was pretty low. She bounced back really fast & she met us in our room a few hours later. All in all, her birth was wonderful and so much more relaxing than Avery’s. No nicu this time, no going home without the baby this time, no spinal headache’s from the epidural this time…it’s been great!
Since then we’ve just had a great time getting to know her & keeping Avery occupied. Avery’s adjusting fairly well. He’s had a few meltdowns, and has been a bit rough with her, but he’s getting better. That’s all for now. I’ll put up a few pictures here as soon as I get them off of the camera & Kyle’s phone.

can’t wait to see some pictures of her since leaving the hospital. actually i should really see her in person - it’s more fun than pictures. now that tim and i aren’t sick anymore we need to hang out.
