We found a cool St. Elmo house the other day, a nice little 2 Bed, 1 Bath house that was built in the 20’s, has character, lots of potential, and the price was right in the area we want to spend. A couple days later, we find an even cooler house. An all brick victorian (which is a stretch to call it a victorian), 4 Bed, 1.5 Bath house, 3400 square feet, beautiful hardwood floors, and touted that it ‘has the potential to be one of St. Elmo’s finest properties,’ and I believe them. The only problem is how can we buy this house? Is there such a thing as a ‘hold?’ Are there programs that will allow you to buy a house ‘with no payments until 2007?’ Or places that will buy the house for us, let us pay them a fee, and in a few months we buy it from them? Or is there anyone out there that wants to help us out and buy the house now, and let us buy it from you in January (maybe sooner)?
And here’s a little photo of the house we’ve been drooling over.

UPDATE: House was sold…
We only have one, and we’ve named her. Her name is Bailey. She’s actually quite cute for a termite, with a really sweet face, beautiful white teeth, and playful brown eyes. So how can such a cute termite be such a menace you ask? {MORE} Well, the other night Bailey was left alone for a few hours too many. Kyle was helping me serve dinner at the church I work at, and we didn’t get home until about 10:15. Kyle had come home a few times during the day & took her on long walks, so we assumed she would be a bit annoyed, even upset at us, but we didn’t expect to find missing drywall when we came home. That’s correct. Bailey was so frustrated and upset at being locked in the kitchen that she took a chunk out of the kitchen corner wall. (See below) Even when Kyle attempted to discipline here, she shrugged it off, like ‘no big deal dad, you just left me here all by myself.’ She’s getting too smart for her own good! But seriously, how can you stay mad at a face like that for too long?
