This past Sunday marked the end of our first year with Bailey. She was such a little munchkin, and all of 6 weeks old when we got her last year. She has brought an immense amount of energy and excitement to our little family, and she is definitely the center of attention! {MORE} She’s grown quite a bit, and her personality is in full bloom. I can’t imagine life without her, and I’m so glad I had her back in the fall when Kyle was here in Chattanooga and we were still in Indianapolis. She has another fun filled year ahead of her-especially with a little brother on the way. Here are a few pictures from the past year. Isn’t she sweet?!

Wow, apparently I’ve been a little busier than I thought. Heidi’s pretty much taken over the blog space and has done a great job of keeping our progress documented, but I thought I would make a re-appearance and fill everyone in on the progress.
Wall cabinets….check, kitchen outlets…check, tiling of back wall in the shower….check, brick chimney in kitchen cleaned & sealed…check. What can I say, we are really in the home stretch here. Our previous goal was to be done by February (yesterday…), and our latest goal is to be done by the weekend of the 16th. What’s left to do? Well, we have the base cabinets in the kitchen, the rest of the kitchen lighting, the countertops, painting a couple walls, and a lot of trimwork. You’d be surprised how hard it is to find 5/4inch pine lumber (for the uninformed, 5/4inch lumber…like most all lumber…is a mis-nomer. 5/4inch lumber is actually 4/4inch… or 1inch thick). I finally found a place that can order some lumber for me, at a reasonable price, so I can start rebuilding the door & window molding in the new kitchen and bathroom. I decided to scrap the original moulding because of the almost definite possibility of lead-based paint (from what I’ve been told, any house the age of ours will most certainly have lead-based paint, and the most likely place to find it is in the interior trim…aka, painted wood).
And in case anyone was wondering….no, I haven’t gotten tired of Mr. T’s. In fact, I don’t think I will ever get tired of that delectably cheap pizza. If they had stock…I’d buy it.
