Paper Shredders
Yes, this morning I got two new paper shredders, and they don’t run off of batteries and don’t need to be plugged in either. They run off of treats and cheerios.
Avery pulled one of Kyle’s magazine’s out of the basket this morning and started pulling it apart. Well apparently it looked enticing to Bailey, and she jumped in on the action. Here’s what ensued…
1st Haircut!!
I finally broke down and got Avery’s haircut. It’s been wild and crazy, which is absolutely fun, but lately strangers have been referring to him as a girl more and more, so I figured a haircut was overdue. And as much as Kyle didn’t want it to be cut, I just couldn’t resist. After lunch with Kyle, Avery and I headed out to do a few errands and I stopped at a Great Clips in hopes that it would in fact be a great clip, not a sorry clip. I took the camera in hopes that I could grab a few pictures of him losing his locks, but alas I couldn’t. Since they aren’t completely prepared for babies, he had to sit in my lap to get his hair cut, which obviously made it impossible to grab a picture. The girl did a good job and didn’t butcher it too much. He’s absolutely adorable and looks just like a little boy now-although I still don’t know why people assume he’s a girl. Anyway, here’s a before picture…he’s playing on a makeshift drum…..

Life has been busy!
It’s been a while since I posted last, and the Posey household has been crazy. The holidays have come and gone, Avery is a super crawler, he’s walking along everything & beginning to reach out to other things as well-he’s quite the adventurer. Let’s see what else, oh yes, he cut 4 teeth over Christmas, got his first cold/flu bug, and managed to get his first ‘war wound’ from being so adventurous. Yes, things have been busy!
And, as most everyone knows by now, we have another little one on the way. 
So let me start by answering a few questions…yes we’re crazy, yes this one was a surprise just like Avery, and yes I know I’m going to be busy! We are a little over 19 weeks right now, and our ‘due date’ is around June 4th. Although if this one is anything like Avery, we’re expecting a delivery in late April early May. And, for those wondering if we know whether its a boy girl…yes we know! So, if you don’t want to know, stop reading now. And, the nursery color will be……
PINK!!!!!
Avery is going to have a little sister. We are completely thrilled & again totally unprepared. We’re starting some renovations-small ones this time & then we’ll re-do the nursery for her, and Avery will go in our current bedroom, and we’ll move into the 3rd bedroom. Not that you wanted to know all that.
Other than that, Kyle & Bailey & I are all doing well. We had a wonderful Christmas with my family & we all-yes all 7 of us got sick-even Avery. We also drove out there for the first time. Kyle & Avery were such troopers-they both stopped crying after about 2 1/2 hours into the trip.
We’re glad to be back home & are enjoying 2008 so far. We have yet another busy year ahead of us, but we’re up for the challenge. So, happy new year! We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas & New Year. And, Avery’s 1st birthday is just around the corner, so be prepared for a fun party!!
