Pregnancy Projects…

I call them pregnancy projects because apparently as soon as we find out were expecting we tear the house apart. And unfortunately, there isn’t much I can do to help besides change my mine 100 times about what I want done. With the first project (aka the kitchen, bathroom & painting almost all of the rooms) Kyle was super patient with me and he did such a great job on the house. Now that the second one is just around the corner, we decided to tear apart the third bedroom so it can be our master. So what started as a simple project (meaning tearing down the walls & ceiling and refinishing the floors) has turned into a massive project. Yes the walls and ceiling have come down, but the floors came up and so did the sub-floor, and we need to fix the roof and need a new window. :) Ahh, renovations! But, on the plus side we (ok I mean Kyle) were able to uncover the fireplace and chimney and so now we have an awesome brick fireplace in the bedroom. I know its going to be an amazing room once its all done, but I have to say I’ve never had a desire to have such an open feeling in our bedroom (see pictures below). Kyle’s been working really hard at trying to get everything done, but since its taken longer I think we’re going to be under a time crunch. I mean again, what’s like finishing the room just a few days before I go into labor right? :)

So, here are a few pictures of our room. I’ll be sure to put up the after pictures in a few months.

So that’s our new master bedroom, isn’t it relaxing?!! :) Thanks to my wonderful husband who is so willing to keep doing these projects around the house for our little family. I love you!
