Just a little update on our little girl, b/c I’ve gotten in the habit of doing this once a week.
We had our appt. today & it looks like she is ready to come. I am 1cm dialated, and its just a continuation of the waiting game. So, I came home today & started getting our stuff ready for the hospital, etc. So I just have to finish packing everyone’s bags and straighten the house up and we’ll be ready…as ready as we can be that is.
So, we’ll let you know if she comes before our next appt. Pray that she continues to grow & that when I do go into labor that everything will go well!
As my mother-in-law reminded me in her last comment, I have yet to post pictures that I promised earlier! So, here are a few.
Last night I didn’t sleep well…as I haven’t slept well for weeks now, but this was a different story. Any woman who’s been pregnant knows by this point you just pretend to sleep as your back/hips hurt, the baby kicks all night long or you spend more time in between the bed and the bathroom then you would care too. Anyway, last night was a long night (mostly because of this stupid cough I have). And I was rudely awoken by yet another one of the fun pregnancy wonders…a leg cramp. I’ve been pretty fortunate not to have too many this time around, but this one woke me up from my sleep. It’s one of those that hurts so bad you can’t even touch your leg. So, I’m jolted awake by the excruciating pain, I’m trying to sit up and stretch it out and I can’t, so of course I have to wake Kyle up to help me. So, I start slapping him. By the time he sits up, the arch in my other foot cramps, my hands start flailing from the pain and somehow…yes somehow I totally punched Kyle in the mouth! Now I didn’t mean to, and I actually thought maybe my hand just kind of slapped the side of his face until I saw his whole head do this slow motion head swivel like in the movies. (And let me add that in the meantime I’ve managed to kick Bailey and send her flying off the bed.) Fortunately, my all too kind husband laughed his head off and helped me out of bed. I got up and walked around to help my aching muscles and eventually found him laughing his head off in the shower. What a way to start your Friday, huh? ![]()
Ok, I usually don’t ‘play along’ with these things, but what the heck.
Bethany tagged me, so its my turn to share 7 things that people may not know about me.
1. I have a knack for crossing my second toe over my big toe & it really freaks my husband and Briana out. (I think its some kind of nervous habit or something)
2. My husband is 13+ inches taller than me, although I don’t feel like its that much of a difference.
3. When I was in 6th grade I got into a fight with a boy & kicked his butt (literally), and he spent the afternoon in the principals office.
4. When my dad would drop us off at school he would roll down the windows, crank up the music and sing incredibly loud so as to draw as much attention to us as possible! One reason for this was because we had this old old datsun that blew out smoke and totally embarrassed us. I think he was trying to teach us humility.
5. My freshman year of college I gained about 20lbs and couldn’t fit into any of my summer clothes! I credit this weight gain to Nabisco Oreos and late nights with my roomies Bri & Kathy.
6. I swore I would never move to Indiana, and ended up living there for about 3 years! As I say now, never say never.
7. I have a toe ring that I got on spring break my freshman year of college that I still wear.
I’ve taken it off a handful of times…but don’t worry I wash my feet every day.
Now its my turn to tag a few people! (And let me preface this by saying yes I have a few ‘repeats’ of friends that Bethany tagged, but I don’t have too many friends who have blogs.)
1. Briana
2. Kathy
3. Heather
4. My husband Kyle
Here are the rules!! (And if you don’t have a blog & want to share, feel free to leave it in the comments section here!) ![]()
1. Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog.
2. Share seven facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag seven people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
Have Fun!! ![]()
Another dr’s appt. today and our little girl is doing wonderful! We had another ultrasound and she’s measuring 4lbs 5 oz, which is awesome & everything else looks good too. it’s still just a waiting game and obviously the longer she hangs out in there the better.
Contractions are sill a norm and unfortunately they are getting a bit more painful each day. But I’m assuming that means we’re getting closer to her arrival. Anyway, just a quick update. I’ll put up pictures of our little Avery in the next day or so…he’s been a busy little man!
