She’s Here!!
This is just a quick post to let you know our little girl made her grand debut today!! Miss Madelyn Jean was born this morning & is 7lbs 2oz & 20 inches long. Labor was quick (but not painless 
) and both Madelyn & I are doing really well. We’ll be sure to post some pictures later when we’re home & situated, but we just wanted to get the word out.
The Baby is coming…soon!
Yes, it is true, she’s coming! Had my dr’s appt. today & everything looks good & I’m now 4cm…almost halfway there! So, my dr. said I could be induced this weekend if we wanted, and if not I’d need to come back early next week to see where I was. And, if I hadn’t progressed anymore by early next week then they would induce me. So, I figured why not just do it sooner rather than later? I’ve already had contractions for like 6 weeks, so let’s meet her!
So Friday morning at 5am we’ll be at the hospital waiting for her to arrive. We’re excited & ready to meet her! So please pray that she will come quickly and be nice and healthy. We will be sure to put up some pictures once she arrives & we name her. So, until then…
Exploding Carrots!
**First of all, if you didn’t see the previous post with all of Avery’s pics, go take a look! Our blog didn’t send out the email**
That’s right folks, apparently carrots explode in the microwave. And I don’t mean like a little bit of exploding. I mean it makes exploding spaghetti sauce look like nothin’. My poor microwave looked like I had opened a spinning blender in there! So, I was heating up carrots for Avery’s lunch and doing something else at the same time when I realized that the microwave sounded like it was popping popcorn. I ignored it for a second before realizing that I wasn’t making popcorn. So, I opened it up and this is what I found….
I had no idea that carrots could do that! And my poor super clean microwave was no longer clean. So I spent the next 10 minutes scrubbing it out so it didn’t stain itself orange. I swear, no two days are ever the same! Although, what fun would life be if we couldn’t laugh, right?
Kids, Renovations & Banana Bread
Well, as promised, I’m putting up some pictures of Avery. It’s been a while & he’s just as cute as ever. Plus, I figure I should get some in here before his little sister arrives & takes over the camera. So, here are a few…

And this is his new diaper bag/backpack. I mentioned to my mom that I wanted to get him a little backpack for him to use as a diaper bag, but I couldn’t find one. And this came in the mail for Avery on Friday. Isn’t he the cutest?
Oh yeah, he LOVES Chick-fil-a sandwiches! We’ve made it a little tradition each week after my dr’s appt. to go to chick-fil-a for lunch. Avery now gets about half of a sandwich or nuggets, whatever he’s in the mood for.
Ok I wish we had a video camera for this one. We were at the dr’s office & Kyle was trying to keep Avery quiet and content & so he played with Kyle’s coffee mug. He then pretended to take a drink & make gulping sounds afterwards. We just laughed and laughed! Apparently he’s going to be a comedian like his daddy.
Ok, normally I don’t like prego pictures of me, but Kyle asked nicely the other day, so I obliged. The picture is kinda small, but you get the point, I’m getting huge!
And this is part of what Kyle & I did this weekend. We made banana bread! If you’ve seen my freezer, you know this is a good thing!! I’ve been stocking up on banana’s for a while (well not intentionally) and they have begun to take over my freezer. So, over the course of the weekend we made 16 mini loafs of awesome banana bread. There are only 14 in this picture b/c we ate one last night, and Avery & I are working on one right now…see the next picture.
And lastly, here a a few pictures of our new bedroom…yes its still a work in progress. But Kyle has done an amazing job (along with the help of our friends, thanks guys!).
Well that’s about it for now! Again, we’re still waiting on the arrival of our little girl, and we will be sure to let you know when that happens. So, for those of you who insist on calling because you think we haven’t told you that she’s here, you can stop. We won’t forget to call you!
Another week, but no progress
Yep, that’s right, there’s been very little progress since my last appointment…which sucks! But, the baby sounds good & is still growing so that’s wonderful. No clue on her weight, but I’m assuming she’s closer to 6lbs now…oh how that scares me! So no, unfortunately I don’t really have any news this week, so sorry! The dr. said we can go ahead and schedule an induction at any time now, but I’m holding out that she will come before her due date. That’s all folks!
